Great shopping, handmade gifts and pastry cafe!
This is one of my favorite glazes–
soft, creamy and lustrous.
These simple yet elegant bowls come in a variety of sizes
(and prices….$ 25.00, $ 30.00, $35.00).
Great for your morning cereal out on the deck or
a dish of vanilla ice cream w/ strawberries later in the day
when you deserve a special treat.
Made with white stoneware, dishwasher and microwave safe.
What can be better than a beautiful late spring morning.
Thoughts of winter have been packed away, and everywhere I look, it’s green, green, green.
Time to glaze and run my kilns.
Anxious to see all the pottery I have been building through the quiet months of winter
become new inventory in the gallery.
Opening a kiln filled with freshly fired new work…it has all the excitement of unwrapping
presents on Christmas morning.
Here is just the start of new work, keep watching for more.
Prices, dimensions, and availability– just sent me a quick email, and I’ll get right back to you.
It’s spring and time for the pottery I’ve been working on all winter to be moved to the kiln.
Here is my favorite place to work, a studio space next to my kitchen–close to the coffeepot,
and radio w/ WJFF, my local public radio station playing most of the day.
Usually, Thelma and Louise, my constant companions are by my side,
but they didn’t want to pose for this shot.
Maybe next time.
Glazing and firing schedules have already begun
and new work will be posted soon.
Although the calendar lets me know we’ve moved into spring,
here, in the Sullivan County Catskills, we’re still tucked in under a blanket of snow.
I don’t mind really, it’s a chance to be quiet and enjoy the clay,
while also enjoying the beautiful wintry landscape that surrounds my studio.
A sure sign of spring is the migration of all the new pottery from the tabletops & counters
in the kitchen, pantry, and studio space where I work to the kiln in our barn.
The arrival of new work is always exciting.
Sometimes I like to work the clay in a very quiet way,
and let the simplicity of the form take over.
A change in color, these vases look real pretty with winter greens and baby’s breath.
Small vases range in price from $35.00 to $50.00.
If you’re interested, I’ll be glad to give you exact dimensions.
Whenever I work in yellow, it always makes me happy.
This set of white stoneware bowls were fired with a yellow
oxide rim and the imprint I used was baby’s breath.
I think it makes a nice vertical rhythm.
The largest bowl is $80.00. Smaller one range from $35.00 to $50.00.
All are available in the studio now and can be sent out as soon as I hear from you.
Email is best.
