It’s spring and time for the pottery I’ve been working on all winter to be moved to the kiln.
Here is my favorite place to work, a studio space next to my kitchen–close to the coffeepot,
and radio w/ WJFF, my local public radio station playing most of the day.
Usually, Thelma and Louise, my constant companions are by my side,
but they didn’t want to pose for this shot.
Maybe next time.
Glazing and firing schedules have already begun
and new work will be posted soon.

Although the calendar lets me know we’ve moved into spring,
here, in the Sullivan County Catskills, we’re still tucked in under a blanket of snow.
I don’t mind really, it’s a chance to be quiet and enjoy the clay,
while also enjoying the beautiful wintry landscape that surrounds my studio.
A sure sign of spring is the migration of all the new pottery from the tabletops & counters
in the kitchen, pantry, and studio space where I work to the kiln in our barn.
The arrival of new work is always exciting.
